Stripe handles the payment surface. PostgreSQL keeps product, order and webhook state. Encrypted records hold delivery content until an order is paid and matched.
If encrypted inventory is unavailable, the order is marked as waiting rather than pretending that delivery happened. The 18-month activation-link listing is explicitly a backorder because its source campaign deadline has passed.
